The company is expanding operations nationally and is seeking to recruit qualified candidates to fill a Business Development role representing their Specialty product lines in the South East region of the US. This is a solutions selling opportunity requiring significant experience identifying customer needs and promoting our clients ability to address those needs. This will be based at the corporate headquarters, in the Atlanta - North area. The territory includes eastern Tennessee, the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida and Alabama and will require significant travel.
Compensation includes a generous salary, uncapped commissions based on sales, and bonus programs focused on targeted product. A car allowance and expenses are included. The business development professional is responsible for identifying prospects, preparing a plan, and presenting to the prospective customer our client's specialty product line. Target prospects include architectural design firms and commercial general contractors. Product focus is within Divisions 05,07, and 09 architectural products. Activities will be focused on growing our specialty products reach and dramatically increasing our market presence. Understanding the architectural design marketplace and presenting to/attending to their needs is critical. Performance will be evaluated against territory growth.
Develop a plan for the assigned market, identifying top prospects and existing customers, defining how you are going to realize growth in the region
Execute plan, make effective presentations to prospects and close opportunities
Effectively and consistently be able to Spec, Bid and Close targets
Grow territory by 5% annually
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related technical degree strongly preferred
Minimum 5 years' experience in the market in a business development capacity
Must be able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of the construction material marketplace and solid understanding of divisions 05, 07, and 9 products
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of Architectural Design firms and General Contractors who utilize our client's product in the designated territory
