We are looking for a meticulous person to perform fact checking and quality assurance in a high volume, fast-paced production environment. And when we say meticulous, we really mean it!

This is a part-time, contract only, telecommute position with 20 hours per week required. There is some flexibility in work hours, but you must be available for at least a few hours every weekday during normal business hours in order to collaborate with our team.

You'll enjoy your job a lot more if you also have a sense of humor because while we're serious about our work, we also like to have fun. There is potential for growth, and opportunity for learning about Internet marketing, SEO, and a wide variety of topics covered in the content we produce. There is an NDA required before work can begin and training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Fact check content to ensure it links to high-quality sources, and that facts are accurate
• Evaluate source sites for quality and viability
• Proofread content
• Identify and correct even the most minor spelling and grammar errors
• Check mathematical calculations for accuracy when necessary
• Maintain regular communication with all team members to ensure collaboration and accuracy

Requirements:

• At least five years’ experience in writing, journalism, editing, or similar
• Extensive knowledge of English grammar
• Exceptional spelling
• Attention not just to detail, but minutiae
• Excellent written communication skills
• Proficient in Google Docs and Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be extremely organized, able to juggle multiple projects at once
• Able to work independently and efficiently with little supervision
• Must have a passion for the written word, and a heightened desire for quality and correctness
• Able to work with a large team of people in a professional, courteous and respectful manner
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a bonus
