Job Description

Looking for a satisfying career? Help frail, low-income seniors to live well by bringing your recruiting skills to Center for Elders’ Independence (CEI). CEI provides a comprehensive healthcare program called Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (or PACE) so that seniors with complex healthcare needs can stay healthy and strong and continue to live independently at home in their communities.

Founded in 1992, Center for Elders’ Independence has earned the reputation as the one of the premier safety net organizations and community resources for seniors and healthcare in the East Bay. CEI's interdisciplinary team approach to care planning and care implementation provides high quality, affordable, integrated health care services to the elderly.

Here’s what employees say about working at CEI:

“Working with a team is very rewarding in an ever changing health care environment. I enjoy being able to look at the patient as a whole picture. In a hospital setting, you are so focused on the immediate issue at hand. At CEI, I am able to look at the patient overall and improve the patients’ experience of care. I like the consistent challenge–from day to day, nothing is ever the same, there is always something new to tackle.”

“Because the clinic is right here with the day center, I get to see patients having all sorts of other experiences that a nurse isolated in a purely clinical setting wouldn’t get to see.  I see them dancing and flirting and playing word games.  End-of-life care also lets me be involved in very powerful and beautiful conversations with people as they get ready for their upcoming death.  It really opens your heart and allows you to be with them in a very deep place.”

“I like my job. I like to work with elderly people when they can live independently and make their own decisions. It’s very different from a nursing home.”

As the Recruiter, you will serve as a vital support to CEI in the area of talent sourcing, recruitment, onboarding and coordination of a positive candidate experience. You will build relationships and partner with hiring managers to develop results-driven staffin strategies to meet current and future talent acquisition needs.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in a recruitment role in a complex organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to successfully conduct an in-depth conversation with a candidate to assess level of knowledge, expertise, personality traits, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in providing excellent customer service to both internal and external clients in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and working knowledge of ATS products. Prefer ADP WFN experience.
  • Superior attention to detail, combined with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities, ambiguities and different personalities.
  • Working knowledge of US and California Labor Laws
  • Work as a member of a team, demonstrating initiative, energy and resourcefulness
  • Ability to coach, mentor and influence staff at all levels.
