We’re looking for a research assistant who can join our production team.   You’ll play a large role in coordinating research projects and preparing items for production as well as contributing to the selection of ideas we produce. 

The ideal candidate is a team player who will bring a solid ability to research, provide data, sources or additional information needed by our production team.  General interest in journalism, data journalism, public relations, digital media publishing, and visual communication are all a plus. 

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating research initiatives for content
• Assisting project managers with pre-production preparation tasks
• Following, collecting and reporting on trending topics for select industries

Requirements:

• An interest in content creation
• Avid reader of news aggregators such as reddit, design blogs and social media communities
• Understanding of top communities or publishers that share content
• A broad base of interest and a general thirst for learning
• Proficient in Google Docs and Microsoft Office Suite
• Active participant on social media networks, such as Twitter, Facebook and Google+
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
